Olympian says he once stepped on Duchess Kate's toe while dancing with her

All people, including celebrities, do not forget their experiences with members of the Royal Family. Olympic rower James Cracknell probably isn't able to get the time he danced with Duchess Kate out of his head, partly because he stepped on the Duchess of Cambridge's toe!

Prince William, Kate and James all attended the wedding of Chiara Hunt. James was introduced to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the event. Kate reportedly suggested they dance together after William offered to dance with another guest, James recounted during an interview with OK!.

Unfortunately, Kate and James suffered an awkward mishap once they hit the dance floor.

"I trod on her toe and managed to knock her over," James said, according to the Daily Mail.

"William said: 'I think you may have just knocked the future queen over.'"

James, who was the first contestant eliminated when he competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019, jokingly responded, "I told her I couldn't dance. It's her fault."

We hope Kate was alright and James's ego didn't suffer too badly after the accident! At least he can talk about it now.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended a number of high-profile weddings over the years, including Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on Oct. 12, 2018 at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. It was a special moment for the entire family because Prince George and Princess Charlotte were part of the wedding party!

Of course, we can expect to see William and Kate along with many members of the royal family at the nuptials of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29. It's confirmed the bride and groom will exchange rows at The Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace.
