What Duchess Meghan is said to have been doing since she reportedly arrived back in Canada

Duchess Meghan is reportedly back in Canada and reunited with son Archie after a whirlwind week for her and Prince Harry. On Jan. 8, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would "step down" as senior members of the Royal Family and work toward being "financially independent." The Sussexes are currently in a transitional phase, but reports suggest Meghan is developing a new routine.

It's believed after visiting Canada House in London with Prince Harry on Jan. 7, Meghan flew out to Vancouver International Airport the following day, just after releasing their statement. Reports suggest she is back at the North Saanich home where the Sussex family reportedly stayed in during their six-week extended break from royal duties.

Archie is said to have stayed in Canada with a nanny and Meghan's friend Jessica Mulroney while Harry and Meghan jetted across the pond for their engagement, so it's likely the duchess' return was a sweet reunion for mother and son.

It was believed Meghan was going to call in to the talks between the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Harry about the Sussexes' future, which were held at Sandringham on Jan.13. But it was eventually decided that "it wasn’t necessary" for her to participate.

The discussions went well, with Her Majesty agreeing to a "period of transition" in Canada and the UK for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Amid the talks, a source told E! News Meghan is keeping a low profile in North Saanich.

"She mostly stays home but ventures out around midday just to get out," the source said.

The rainy weather may also play a part in the former actress staying indoors! The forecast features mixed precipitation for the rest of the week.

When Meghan does go outside, the source said she drives herself in a Range Rover, with security following behind her.

The Sussexes' new routine will continue to develop when Prince Harry reunites with his family. Before then, he still has previous commitments to fulfill. He is expected to still attend a royal engagement on Jan. 16 at Buckingham Palace for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
