Prince William to travel to Kuwait and Oman on solo trip in December

Prince William is set to travel again very soon! The Duke of Cambridge will visit Kuwait and Oman from Dec. 1 to 4, Kensington Palace revealed on Nov. 5.

The Duke of Cambridge’s full itinerary for the trip has yet to be announced, and more will be revealed in due course. William will be in Kuwait and Oman without Duchess Kate, who we last saw on the road with him in October, when the couple visited Pakistan from Oct. 14 to 18.

Of course, this is far from William’s first solo trip in the last few years. Earlier this year he visited New Zealand at the request of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. While there, he met with survivors of the Christchurch mosque attacks and took part in commemoration ceremonies to honour the victims.

Just last year, the Duke of Cambridge also travelled to Israel, the Palestinian territories and Jordan. That trip marked the first time a member of the British Royal Family has met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Later in the year, he also made official visits to Namibia, Tanzania and Kenya on a tour in which he highlighted wildlife and conservation issues.

William will return home well ahead of the Christmas holidays, which he will spend with Kate and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. As is tradition, the family are expected to travel to the Queen’s estate at Sandringham to spend the holidays with Her Majesty and other family members including Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry.

We will see the Duke of Cambridge later this week, when he steps out to the launch of the National Emergencies Trust on Nov. 7. The organization plans to work with other charities and government bodies to provide emergency responses at the time of any domestic disasters that could arise in the UK.

Two days later, he will attend the Festival of Remembrance to commemorate Remembrance Day at Royal Albert Hall in London. Meghan, Harry, Kate, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla and the Queen will be with him. The next day, William will also be on hand with members of the Royal Family at the cenotaph in Whitehall to honour Remembrance Day.
