The royals are just like us! Every now and then they need a night out.
Duchess Kate reportedly attended a pub night with other moms at the Hollywood Arms in the London neighbourhood of Chelsea in October, according to The Mail on Sunday. The evening was held for parents of children who are newcomers to Thomas’s Battersea, the school Kate and Prince William’s children Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend. George has been a student there since 2017 and Charlotte started at the school in September.
Hollywood Arms is known as a hotspot for London celebrities, royals and socialites. Prince Harry used to spend some of his free time there, and the Mail reports Kate actually went in through a secret back entrance the Duke of Sussex once used. The neighbourhood is also home to several places William and Kate used to frequent when they were first dating, so it’s familiar territory for the now-mom-of-three.
Kate was on hand to take Charlotte to her first day at school back in September – something she wasn’t able to do when George started there two years ago! Back then, she was pregnant with Prince Louis and was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, so she wasn’t able to take her little boy to his big day. She looked very glad to see both of her eldest children off, holding Charlotte’s hand and encouraging her to greet the staff that met the four-year-old princess at the door.
George and Charlotte have been on a half-term break from school and William and Kate reportedly took them up to Norfolk to their country home of Anmer Hall for part of the break. Just before Halloween, Kate, George and Charlotte shocked shoppers when they were reportedly seen browsing the racks of costumes at a local Sainsbury’s franchise.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be back at work this week, attending their regular royal duties once again. William will step out to the launch of the National Emergencies Trust and London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala on Nov. 7, and will be joined on Nov. 9 by Kate, Harry, Duchess Meghan, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla and the Queen at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance to mark Remembrance Day.
The next day, William, Kate, Harry and Meghan will join the Royal Family at the Cenotaph at Whitehall, where they’ll attend Remembrance Sunday services and the Prince of Wales will lay a commemorative wreath on the Queen’s behalf.
