How Duchess Meghan’s mother is helping her prepare for Baby Sussex’s arrival

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and Duchess Meghan is getting some quality time in with hers ahead of Baby Sussex’s birth. Doria Ragland reportedly arrived in the UK two weeks ago, and has been heavily involved with helping her daughter and son-in-law Prince Harry get ready to become first-time parents.

Two weeks ago, reports emerged thatDoria had hired someone to watch her house in Los Angeles and asked someone to walk her two dogs and take out her garbage while she visited across the pond. A source told ET that Doria “has been by Meghan’s side ever since she arrived in London.” The yoga instructor and former social worker has also been helping the couple “settle in” to Frogmore Cottage, their new home in Windsor.

ET says Harry is reportedly a bit nervous about becoming a dad, and the source reportedly said he’s loved having Doria there. “[She and Harry] love their new home,” another source, who is reportedly one of Meghan’s friends, told the program. “Being able to walk freely and enjoy the beautiful area is such a sensational treat.”

On Friday (May 3), Harry postponed the first day of his trip to the Netherlands. He had been due to head to Amsterdam on Wednesday (May 8), but that changed due to “logistics” around other royal engagements, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. Harry is still scheduled to visit The Hague on Thursday to launch a countdown for the 2020 Invictus Games, which the Dutch city will host. The first source told ET the trip is very much “wait-and-see.” If need be, the Duke of Sussex can cancel it all to be with Meghan and Baby Sussex, they said.

Journalist Gayle King and makeup artist Daniel Martin, two of Meghan’s close friends, are also reportedly in the UK or have spent time there over the last week in the lead-up to the royal baby’s arrival. Meanwhile, Elton John said this week that Meghan could give birth “any second.” Baby Sussex, you’ve got us at the edge of our seats!
