Congratulations are in order for Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi and her fiancé, Dimitri Rassam, who welcomed their first child on Tuesday morning (Oct. 23), a little boy who came into the world at 7 lbs 2 oz. The Monaco royal quietly gave birth to her second child at Princess Grace Hospital in London, which was named after her grandmother and iconic movie star, Grace Kelly, who became Princess Grace after marrying Prince Rainer in 1956.
The royal baby’s other siblings – a four-year-old half-brother, Raphaël Elmaleh, from Charlotte’s previous relationship with Gad Elmaleh, and seven-year-old stepsister Darya from Dimitri’s previous relationship with Masha Novoselova – are likely over the moon to have a little brother. On top of that, the baby boy will be excitedly welcomed by cousins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella , Prince Albert and Princess Charlene ’s adorable three-year-old twins.
The parents of two like to keep their personal lives private. After reconnecting in Paris for a Christmas dinner in 2016, the two became engaged, something that was only noticed when the 32-year-old started sporting a diamond solitaire engagement ring. Charlotte and her film producer beau made their couple debut at the glamorous Bal de la Rose last year, where she first donned the stunning ring.
While no wedding information has been confirmed yet, a source told People that their respective families have been discussing appropriate dates for two ceremonies in the spring of 2019 – right around the time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to welcome their first child ! They’ll reportedly be having a civil ceremony in Monaco and well as a bigger one at Dimitri’s family vineyard on the Italian island of Pantelleria.
