Of the Duchess of Sussex’s absences, which saw her miss the unveiling of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy plaque in K’gari, among other activities, a royal insider assures that it has nothing to do with her pregnancy: “She is not sick or exhausted and is feeling fine, and in fact she spent some time preparing for the coming days of the tour while the duke was out on duty.” In fact, the bumpy terrain on Australia’s Fraser Island – the largest sand island in the world – as they travelled to Pile Valley and Lake McKenzie may have proved too uncomfortable for the duchess, so Harry forged on alone as Meghan chilled out at the luxurious Kingfisher Bay resort. But she surprised royal fans with a stylish appearance at the walkabout, and the 37-year-old will be returning to her normal tour schedule as the couple hit the tarmac and head to Fiji on Oct. 23.

The 37-year-old has been candid about the exhaustion she's facing while on tour. Royal reporter Emily Andrews spoke to 35-year-old fan Charlotte Waverley, who revealed the chat she'd had with Meghan on Bondi Beach on Oct. 19. “She told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag. She said she was up at 4:30 am this am doing yoga in her room as she couldn’t sleep. It’s a bit of a double whammy for her, she said, as she has both the baby and jet lag to contend with.”

The former actress was likely sad to have also missed a morning Invictus Games engagement in Sydney on Oct. 21, where Prince Harrygot to hand out road cycling medals to winners. But the Sussexes both felt it advisable to rest up after a late evening out at the Invictus Games opening ceremony the day before, where Meghan dazzled in a Stella McCartneynavy cape dress and a matching Gillian Anderson for Winser coat.
