Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are following in Meghan and Harry’s footsteps with this wedding detail

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have really set the bar high for royal weddings this year! After saying “I do” in a stunning ceremony on May 19, Princess Beatrice and Jack Brooksbank will be the next big ‘do to happen at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, and it seems they’re following in Meghan and Harry’s footsteps on at least one detail. Much like at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials – which were the third most-watched in royal history – the second royal wedding of the year will also see charity representatives, children from local schools that Eugenie attended as a child, members of the Windsor community, residents of Windsor Castle and some royal household staff on hand for the celebrations. Clearly, making their wedding day more than just a family affair is important to the couple.

The 28-year-old princess first met the love of her life on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, where the her father the Duke of York was celebrating his 50 th birthday. Though Eugenie has since done a stint working in New York and Jack has been living in London, they made their long-distance relationship work and have been inseparable ever since. After seven years of dating, the two announced their engagement in January 2018, posing for beautiful photos to commemorate the big news. The couple looked more loved-up than ever, smiling and laughing for the camera as Eugenie showed off her jaw-dropping engagement ring , boasting a dazzling padparadascha sapphire.
