The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, have made their Snapchat debut, and it's all thanks to tennis star Serena Williams. The Wimbledon champion met Kate and Sophie following her win at the Wimbledon semi-final on Thursday and filmed the three of them together to send to her fans on Snapchat.

In the nine-second video, Serena said: "So I'm in the in-crowd now, I'm with royalty!" before panning the camera to the Kate, who smiled at the camera before putting an arm around Sophie and bringing her into the shot as the three of them laughed together.
The royal duo watched all the action on day 10 of the tournament from the Royal Box. The duchess brightened up centre court in a recycled Roksanda Ilincic dress while Sophie looked equally lovely in a coral skirt and white blouse.
Kate is a regular fixture at Wimbledon, and in 2015 she attended the quarter finals alongside Prince William, just weeks after welcoming her daughter Princess Charlotte. The Duchess is a keen tennis fan and it has been reported that she may be announced as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club when the Queen takes a step back following 64 years as patron.
This isn't the first time that Serena has had a brush with royalty. The American athlete met Prince William backstage at the 2010 Australian Open and later that year greeted his grandmother, the Queen, when she dropped by the All England Club to meet with players competing in the iconic British tournament.
