The Duke of Cambridge’s Father’s Day celebrations will be two-fold this year as he’s now the proud papa of two tots. The arrival of Princess Charlotte on May 2 was a dream come true for the royal parents, especially Prince William, who had really wanted a daughter according to his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge (nee Kate Middleton).
Following a busy week of engagements in London, including Prince George’s debut at Trooping the Colour, the happy family is expected to celebrate the holiday quietly at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk country home. Since early June, Prince William has been busy working with the nearby East Anglian Air Ambulance Service as a helicopter pilot. The peaceful retreat is the perfect spot for the father of two to sit back, relax and spend some quality time with his little ones.
Even though Kate spends more time at home with the children while her husband is busy at work, it’s easy to see the special bond that William has formed with his 23-month-old son. During the Trooping flypast over Buckingham Palace, the inquisitive prince was seen on the famous balcony chatting away with his father, who held him protectively in his loving arms. Prince George sported the same powder blue outfit that William wore when he attended the event for the first time in 1985.
The following day, after the Duke of Cambridge and brother Prince Harry participated in a polo charity match, William made his way over to George for a post-match cuddle. It is clear that William intends to be a hands-on parents like his mother, the late Princess Diana.
What better way to honour the royal dad for Father’s Day than to round up the most adorable and precious pictures of William and his kids?
