Highlights from the Queen’s visits to Commonwealth countries over the years

Commonwealth Day is the annual celebration of the 53 Commonwealth nations, held on the second Monday in March. The event celebrates the 2.1 billion people – almost a third of the world’s population – that belong to what were once former territories of the British Empire, including Canada. In addition to Commonwealth Day, the Queen frequently attends the biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
