21 dapper men at the Golden Globes

While red carpet season tends to focus on A-list ladies in their gorgeous gowns, Hollywood’s leading men are nonetheless giving their female counterparts a run for their money in the fashion department. Television and film’s hottest actors were impeccably dressed at this year’s Golden Globes, donning sharp tuxes and looking impossibly debonair in their dapper apparel.

The Theory of Everything’s Eddie Redmayne is proving himself to be quite the style star, rocking recent red carpets in sharply tailored suits that always have a hint of European flare. At the Globes, he was smart in a navy-blue velvet suit. Man-of-the-hour George Clooney, who was honoured with a lifetime achievement award, recycled his wedding tuxedo (ah, the benefits of being a guy!) while Bill Murray accessorized his look with a camouflage-print bow tie and fedora.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Adrien Brody was suave in an all-black ensemble and Robert Downey Jr. bucked the bow tie trend with a standard tie and bejeweled tie clip teamed with a paisley handkerchief and a pair of lilac-tinted sunglasses.

Then there was Matthew McConaughey, who stood out from the sea of black and navy in a dark eggplant suit – but it was his scraggly facial hair had the Internet buzzing about whether he’s growing out his beard for a new role.

Comedian Kevin Hart added white piping to his black suit, coordinating his look with his gorgeous fiancée, Eniko Parris, who was stunning in a white gown. The five-foot-four star, who is hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time on Jan. 17, accused Ryan Seacrest of wearing shoe lifts after the E! host gloated about being taller than Kevin!
