Oscar outfit changes: Red carpet vs. after-party looks

The 2015 Oscars red carpet was all about sophistication and glamour, but the show’s after-parties boasted a somewhat looser aesthetic. Once the pomp and circumstance of the Academy Awards had come to an end, some of the industry's most stylish stars let their hair down and swapped outfits to showcase their sartorial savvy and sex appeal.

All the looks from the 2015 Oscars

While some celebrities like Jennifer Aniston opted to stick to one gorgeous gown for the glitzy evening, others, including Jennifer Lopez, slipped into a different dress to party the night away.

Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo was ravishing in red Armani Privé for the Oscars ceremony, but changed into a slinky Calvin Klein number paired with natural makeup for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party just a few hours later.

The Theory of Everything’sFelicity Jones also traded in her frothy Alexander McQueen ball gown for a sleek black Saint Laurent dress, which was much better suited to mingling with A-listers at a crowded bash.

Other stars swapped glamour for glamour, like Lupita Nyong’o, who changed out of her custom-designed, pearl-embellished Calvin Klein gown for an equally striking strapless gold number that was also designed by CK.

Still, some celebrities – like Rita Ora – ditched their demure Oscar dresses in favour of risqué looks with racy cutouts. The British songstress exchanged her custom-made satin Marchesa dress for a super-sexy Donna Karan outfit with sheer panels that showed off her backside – and that was just one of many revealing looks that evening!

With so many gorgeous gowns, it’s hard to decide which is better: the Oscars outfit or the after-party ensemble. Click through the gallery above to compare for yourself!
