Jay-Z and Beyoncé to perform at the 2014 Grammys

This year's Grammy Awards are shaping up to be a show for the ages, as Jay-Z and Beyoncé were officially added to the list of megawatt performers.

The power couple have been confirmed to take the Grammy stage on Jan. 26, though reps have yet to comment on whether Blue Ivy’s mom and dad will be taking the stage together.

Other acts on the docket include Metallica, Lorde, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and former Beatles members Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney.

It will be Beyoncé's first televised performance since the unexpected release of her self-titled studio album last month, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies to date. Meanwhile, Jay-Z leads the pack of nominations this year with a whopping nine Grammy nods, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.

If the pair decide to hit the Grammy stage as a duo, they may perform “Crazy in Love” – Beyoncé’s first hit single off her debut solo album from 2003 – or “Drunk in Love,” a track off her newest record that includes a rapping verse by Jay-Z.

It’s been a busy year so far for the rap mogul and his pop star wife. The pair rang in the New Year with a raucous, P.Diddy-hosted bash at the Versace House in Miami, and one week later, they celebrated Blue Ivy’s second birthday with a trip to an amusement park and a princess-themed party.

Last Saturday, they attended Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday at the White House, where Beyoncé performed “Single Ladies” and “Irreplaceable” wearing a gold mini-dress.

The Grammy Awards red carpet starts at 6:30 pm on Jan. 26, 2014. For all the latest on GRAMMYS news, head to Grammys.ca.
