Since wrapping production on the film Self/Less with Sir Ben Kingsley in 2013, Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds became a master in selflessness when he was cast in the most important role of his life – that of father to now-six-month-old daughter James, with wife Blake Lively. In the psychological thriller, Ben plays an aging businessman in search of the fountain of youth. By way of money, power and science he secures the body of a much younger and healthier man, played by Ryan. The movie (in theatres July 10) explores the abiding warning of ‘be careful what you wish for.’

Minions: The adorable little yellow minions find a new master in the form of Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock), who sends them on a royally illegal mission to steal the Queen's Crown Jewels.

Amy: A look at the public and private life of award-winning singer Amy Winehouse, who tragically passed away in 2011 at the age of 27.

What We Did On Our Holiday: In the midst of a divorce, Rosamund Pike and David Tennant's characters play the part of happy couple in hopes of keeping their secret from family during a get-together in Scotland. Billy Connolly also stars.

In the post-apocalyptic series The 100(Netflix Canada), Texas-native Lindsey Morgan plays Raven, a no-nonsense tech wizard who, after being raised in space, is sent to earth to scope out its habitability after a nuclear wear wipes out civilization. “I just fell in love with her story and her kick-butt spirit,” Lindsey tells Hello! during a break in filming on the Canadian set of the hit show. Here the beautiful actress, who has enjoyed memorable turns in General Hospital and Happy Endings, reveals the personality traits she shares with her character, fitness secrets and how she spends her downtime in Vancouver.

Do you share any of Raven’s personality traits?

Definitely. Raven and I are both very active, independent and headstrong people. I am not one to sit and fret about something in my life. I have to take control of the situation and do something about it. But she is definitely smarter than I am, so she probably has a higher success rate of solving problems then I do … But I never give up without a fight!

How do you stay in such great shape?

If we have a big stunt sequence coming, we will train prior to the scene with our stunt coordinators for the shoot. But overall, I like to stay physically fit for my own benefit. And I think muscles on girls look good! I like to look strong but also feminine. I work out about 6 days a week by running, hiking and lifting a lot of free weights. I also box and do pilates and yoga. I switch it up to keep it from getting stale or boring.

When you do have time off from filming, what do you and the cast like to do in Vancouver?

I am pretty much the tourist expert in Vancouver! I have done almost everything - from visiting Victoria and Whistler to Grouse mountain grinding and whale watching. I love Vancouver and all the outdoor activities it has to offer. When it rains, we like to get together and have dinner and karaoke or have a dance party!

Look for mom-of-one Katie to make her first appearance in the premiere episode on July 12 (The Movie Network).

Hollywood Game Night(season three premiere July 7, NBC): Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez are a few of the stars ready to battle it out on the Jane Lynch-hosted game show.
