Idina, the voice of the film’s ice princess, Elsa, broke the Frozen 2 news in an interview to U.K.’s The Telegraph when she was asked about whether all of the rumours about a film sequel were true. Her response?

“They’re all in the works!” she laughed.

Asked whether she’d been called upon to take part in either, Idina replied, "Yeah sure … Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see.”

It’s great news for fans of the record-breaking, 2013 film. Since its release, Frozen has gone on to become the fifth top-grossing movie of all time, with box office totals of more than $1.2 billion. The only films that have topped Frozen on that list are Avatar, Titanic, The Avengers and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The film’s addictive tunes and charming plot has been a boon for Disney. Halloween costumes, YouTube spoofs and even a Frozen tour of Disney On Ice have made their rounds in 2014.

In addition, a six-minute short called Frozen Fever will be released next spring. The flick will reportedly focus on Anna’s birthday celebrations: “Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”

For her part, Idina has admitted to enjoying her Frozen “ride” and her newfound fame. She recently released a holiday album, which includes a kid-friendly version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” recorded with Michael Bublé.
