TIFF 2015: the best looks from the red carpet

The 40th annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is in full swing and the stars are hitting the red carpet in their finest fashions.

There was an audible gasp when Diane Kruger stepped onto the red carpet at the premiere of her new drama "Sky." The gorgeous actress made an elegant entrance in a structured collared tea dress with a zigzagged hemline by Diane's good friend Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel.

Penélope Cruz wowed in white Roland Mouret at the premiere of "Ma Ma" at the Elgin Theatre. The movie, which sees the actress play both producer and leading lady, is a Spanish film directed by Julio Medem.

On Monday (Sept. 14) Rachel McAdams stepped onto the red carpet at the "Spotlight" premiere in a sheer, floral gown by Valentino. The magnificent piece from the design house's Resort 2016 collection was a collaboration between the label's Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli and Canadian Aboriginal artist Christi Belcourt.

Earlier in the week, the crowd outside the premiere for Our Brand is Crisis went crazy for surprise guest George Clooney, but all eyes were on its star Sandra Bullock, who turned heads in a sexy cut-out black cocktail dress by David Koma.
