Trust Beyoncé to go all-out in every sartorial situation, and this is especially true when it came to renewing her vows with husband Jay-Z! The iconic singer has delighted the Bey Hive with a peak at the sultry Galia Lahav gown she donned for the special day in 2018 – and it’s everything.
In true New Year style, the former Destiny’s Child frontwoman took to Instagram to share a reel of highlights from the past year. In it, she included a stylish snap from her and Jay-Z’s special day commemorating their 10-year anniversary. Looking chic form head to toe, the mother of three was draped in the jaw-dropping “Thelma” couture gown by Israeli designer Galia Lahav.
The ornate design features billowing sleeves and an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, combined with a semi-sheer skirt that perfectly hugged the star’s amazing figure. Queen Bey topped off the look with a long train, a slicked-back hairstyle and a chic pair of 90s-inspired sunglasses as she embraced her dapper rapper husband in his matching white suit. Adorned with intricate designs and detail across the bodice, her ensemble was the perfect amount of “extra” for the fashion queen.
The luxurious fashion house took to Instagram to spread the exciting news, writing: “The Queen B herself @beyonce wore the Thelma Gown for her and husband, Jay-Z's vow renewal back in June, but this is the first official image to surface from that remarkable day - and we're in love all over again! #Beyonce#QueenB”. Galia Lahav had a big year, also counting Jennifer Lopez among the iconic celebrities she had the pleasure of dressing.
The power couple officially tied the knot on April 4, 2008, four years before they welcomed their first child, Blue Ivy. Five years after their first bundle of joy joined the Carter clan, Blue became a big sister to one-year-old twins, Sir and Rumi. They said “I do” in an intimate ceremony at the rapper’s penthouse in New York City, surrounded by only 40 guests and no wedding party, according to Pop Sugar . Her first wedding gown was designed by her mom, Tina Lawson, who opened up about the experience on the Today show in 2016.
