We’re willing to bet that Celine Dionhas never been arrested in real life, but in her new promotional video for her latest fashionable foray, a collaboration with children’s clothing label Nununu, that’s just what happens! Running down the hallway of a hospital at night, the Canadian chanteuse is tackled to the floor by a police officer in a video she shared to her Instagram. She assures them: “It’s ok, it’s ok. I’m Celine Dion!” The dramatic sequence continues…

The video rewinds to the goings-on before the 50-year-old was apprehended, showing the chicly dressed Québec native searching for the newborn unit. As she walks through the dark hallways, she can be heard narrating the scene: “Our children, they are not really our children, as we are all just links in a never-ending chain that is life. For us, they are everything. But in reality, we are only a fraction of their universe.”
Stepping inside the nursery, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer looks at the babies and blows black confetti onto them, transforming their swaddle outfits into baby clothes created in collaboration with the brand Nununu – a collection cutely called CELINUNUNU. In the background of the hospital room, the traditional symbols for male and female are changed to a plus sign, denoting that the line is gender neutral.

Eventually, the officers catch up with her, and inside Celine’s mind, we hear her saying: “I can’t believe they called security. I’m not spending the night in jail.” The officers are then seen dragging the mother of three out of the hospital towards a cop car, and Celine says: “Easy, I’m Celine Dion!” The female officer’s hilarious response is dripping in sarcasm: “Yeah, girl, and I’m Beyoncé.” Finally, the dramatic scene ends with Celine declaring, “I’m calling my agent!”
While the promotional video is obviously comedic, the clothing line itself is revolutionary. Being a fashion mogul herself and a loving mom, the GRAMMY award winner is likely very understanding of the fact that not all children identify with the stereotypes of their biological sex – and not all little girls want to dress like stereotypical little girls! Back in 1999, the singer wore a backwards Galliano tuxedo to the Oscars, asserting both her avant-garde style and the fact that she was one of the only women to wear an outfit typically reserved for men. The Celinununu collection is available online in sizes ranging from 0 to 14 and features patterns like skulls, plus signs, stars and a palette of black, silver, yellow and blue.
