Blake Lively is easily one of Hollywood’s best-dressed women, from her buzzy trend-setting sequinned basketball jersey to her absolutely ethereal Met gala look this year. And while her style is generally all her own, she was giving us some serious Duchess of Cambridge vibes in New York City on Tuesday (Aug. 7) during a celebration with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
While stepping out in the Big Apple, the mother of two helped ring in her husband’s first employee orientation day as the owner of Aviation Gin. The blond bombshell dazzled in an off-the-shoulder Bardot neckline we’ve seen her wear before but in a newly classic cream hue. While royal watchers know Kate’s preference of keeping her shoulders covered, the royal icon actually donned a very similar style of dress back in 2016 while at the Natural History Museum in London, making unsuspecting style sisters of these two fashion plates!
But this isn’t the first time the lovely ladies have crossed fashion paths. While Blake and Kate typically reach for different cuts when it comes to their sartorial choices, they certainly have a penchant for similar prints. Earlier this year, the duchess donned a sweet red-and-white houndstooth coat while visiting Sweden , while the All I See Is You star wore the chicest black-and-white printed jumpsuit in Manhattan last fall. Similarly, the two clearly have a comparable liking for floral-on-black dresses, having rocked very similar looks in the last year (though Blake’s was notably shorter!).
Blake really made a splash in the fashion world earlier this spring, making the streets of New York City her personal catwalk! She wore an incredible black-and-white gingham dress for a double date night with the couple’s closest pals, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Earlier that day, she slipped into the most incredible red patent leather coat for the Michael Kors fall collection runway show, where she sat sandwiched between Zendaya and BFF Emily.
