According to new reports, Beyoncé and Jay Z's adorable daughter Blue Ivy could be the latest celebrity offspring to turn fashion mogul. The Lemonade singer, who recently announced that she is pregnant with twins, has reportedly filed legal documents to trademark and launch a line of "Blue Ivy Carter" products.
According to TMZ, Beyoncé's company wants to sell a diverse range of products under the trademark, including clothing, hair care and a fragrance. They may also branch out into mobile devices to video games in the future. The Formation singer's company originally made the application in 2012 but it wasn't approved as someone already had the trademark for "Blue Ivy", but it appears they are optimistic that they will have better luck by adding their surname Carter.
Blue Ivy is only five years old, but she already has an enviable wardrobe that often sees her rock matching designer clothes to her superstar mom, so we can see her fashion line would be a success. Her family also has a wealth of experience in retail; Beyoncé has achieved huge success with her Ivy Park athleisure line, while Jay Z also has his own clothing line and is invested in a number of other businesses.
The news comes just days after Beyoncé broke the internet with the announcement that she is pregnant with twins. Alongside her baby bump photo, the singer wrote: "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes – The Carters."
Her father Mathew Knowles has since hinted that she is expecting a boy and a girl, telling The Insider: "I'm extremely proud and happy, both with Jay and her. And Blue Ivy is going to have some brothers and sisters. She is already excited."
