Week’s best celebrity style: Liv Tyler, Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Palermo and more

Sometimes a cold-weather snap brings out the coziest (and chicest!) style pairings when celebs step out for their red-carpet duties. Whether it was the low temps in New York during fashion week or the brisk chill that hit London during the 2016 BAFTAs, stars like Victoria Beckham and Julianne Moore dressed to impress with more layers than usual – and managed to look effortlessly stylish in the process.

For her Fall 2016 runway show during New York Fashion Week, designer Victoria Beckham hit the runway in one of her cozy turtleneck knit sweaters. To complement the pared-down look, she swapped out her signature heels for classic Adidas Stan Smith sneakers when taking her final bow. (Husband David Beckham, seated front row with their four children, naturally rose to a beaming standing ovation when Victoria stepped out.)

Actress Emily Ratajkowski also dressed appropriately for the season, as the We Are Your Friends star slung a plush, colour-block Dawn Levy coat over her suede dress and black thigh-high boots for Public School's Fall 2016 runway show.

Fashion week mainstay Olivia Palermo commanded as much applause for her on-point ensembles as the presentations themselves! The 29-year-old stepped out in a turtleneck topped with a coordinated tank and culottes ensemble by Carolina Herrera for the New York designer's Fall 2016 runway show. For a nice touch – and added warmth – she completed the look with red leather Christian Louboutin boots.

Elsewhere, stars like Liv Tyler, Olivia Munn and Kate Bosworth kept warm while seated front row at New York Fashion Week, all while maintaining their glamourous style sense. Julianne Moore added a black cape over her white Armani gown for a totally mod twist on sensible weather dressing. If the rest of the season looks this good, we'll gladly take six more weeks of winter!
