Week's Best Celebrity Style: Diane Kruger, January Jones, Kate Mara and more

From busy prints to monochromatic dressing and back again, Hollywood’s elite are taking no prisoners when it comes to the red carpet. Selena Gomez gave monochromatic grey dressing (one of fall's top trends) a modern twist, while pattern play was the order of the day for Diane Kruger, Kate Mara and Nina Dobrev.

Leading the pattern brigade was the one and only Diane Kruger, who offset her asymmetrically cut navy Preen number with a neutral box bag, suede ankle boots and no-fuss makeup. House of Cards star Kate Mara followed suit in a celestial-pattered mini dress by Valentino - a playful ode to her latest film, The Martian.

Canadian actress Nina Dobrev looked every inch the lady in a floral maxi dress with an oversized keyhole by the appropriately named Lela Rose at the go90 arts preview in Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, funnywoman Kristen Wiig took a more subdued approach to the trend in an Oscar de la Renta frock with an embellished bodice and a high-shine ballerina skirt at the New York Film Festival’s premiere of The Martian .

The blue trend continued even further as newlywed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (also known as UK pop diva Cheryl Cole) took to the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards in a luxe velvet gown by fellow Brit Victoria Beckham , completing her look with a set of opulent gold earrings and a twisted arm cuff.

In a sea of statement-making garbs, Disney alum Selena Gomez and new mom Zoe Saldana stepped out in neutral looks that were nothing short of spectacular.

Selena rocked a cropped mock-neck sweater and A-line midi skirt by Co anchored by textured d’Orsay pumps during a stroll through Paris, and Zoe struck a pose at the go90 soiree in California.
