The week's best celebrity style: Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and more

Whether they're stepping out on the red carpet or striking a pose in the park, the stars are showing no shortage of moxie, catching our eye in feminine frocks, architectural shapes, cheeky cutouts and everything in between.

Freida Pinto went for sweet (not saccharine!) at the eighth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in a trendy, gingham tea dress by Michael Kors complete with cat-eye sunnies, a floral leather belt and stacked heels.

Both Charlize Theron and Diane Kruger took it back to anything-but-basic black this week. Charlize, on hand at the 5th annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, slipped into a caged-bodice dress from Cushnie et Ochs with a super dramatic slit, while Diane rocked a triangle-cutout Roland Mouret romper, embellished sandals and a wide-brim woven hat in New Jersey.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Olivia Cooke also turned heads in head-to-toe noir. Jenna went for an edgy, leather-accented look at the L.A. premiere of the Entourage movie in an Osman mini dress, and newcomer Olivia Cooke was all about the fringe in a fully beaded semi-sheer look by Miu Miu.

Also at the Critics' Choice Awards was Angie Harmon, who was in full bloom wearing showstopping off-the-shoulder dress by fashion wunderkind Christian Siriano , which featured a crossover bodice, metallic accents, and vintage floral print.

Scandal star Kerry Washington amped up the sex appeal at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards in an embellished David Koma skirt, matching crop top and gold drop earrings. (Is anyone else catching major Diana Rossvibes?)

Click through for more looks we adored, including Sophia Bush in a tiered Temperley dress, Kendall Jenner at the launch of her Topshop collection with little sis Kylie and model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid, who touched down in Toronto to celebrate Maybelline’s 100th anniversary.
