Cara Delevingne speaks candidly about the fashion industry: 'It's horrible'

With her glitzy global travels, famous friends and high-profile events calendar, it's hard to imagine there's a dark side toCara Delevingne's life - but the model is setting the record straight. The British beauty says the glamour and wealth comes at a price.

" It's horrible living in a world where I'll get a call from someone saying, so-and-so says you were partying a lot and you were looking this way and you need to lose weight," she said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal magazine.

cara-first-Cara recently spent time at the Cannes Film Festival.

"It makes me so angry. If you don't want to hire me, don't hire me."

The British beauty, who attended the Monaco Grand Prix as the new ambassador for Tag Heuer over the weekend, also revealed that being in front of the camera didn't come naturally to her.

" I was like an animal in a cage," she said. "I didn't know where the camera was, and I would just move around."

Cara is currently trying to make a name for herself in the acting world. She starred in The Face of an Angel last year and she has roles in upcoming films Pan and Paper Towns.

But the 22-year-old believes that her modelling experience has made acting difficult to master.

"With acting, the last thing you do is try and look pretty," she said. "Modelling actually makes acting harder – it makes you so self-aware."
