If ever there were photos that would make us want one of the latest “it” bags, it would be the new ads for Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, featuring Jennifer Connelly. The 44-year-old actress is seen posing against raw Miami backdrops with a variety of the design house’s latest purses, including a must-have quilted chain bag that calls to mind Chanel’s coveted classic.
Shot in black and white by famed photographer Bruce Weber, the feel of the ad campaign is edgy, sophisticated and decidedly mod. Even Jennifer’s look in each shot, with her loose flowing hair, heavy eyeliner and shift dresses, screams the ’60s.
The first shots from the 2015 ad campaign were spotted on creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s Instagram feed in early January.
In his role at the Parisian luxury brand, the beloved 43-year-old designer was instrumental in bringing the Noah star into the LV fold. The two often collaborated while Nicolas held the same position at Balenciaga for more than a decade.
Jennifer has been spotted sitting front row at several of Louis Vuitton’s runway shows and, according to a press release, Nicolas thinks of her as a "heroine" of the brand, with plenty of future collaborations to come. Actress Michelle Williams was the star of the house’s 2014 campaign.
Other snaps in the series, shot by fellow high-profile photographers Annie Liebovitz and Juergen Teller, feature Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen and pictures of purses against a backdrop of New York’s Central Park and the city’s skyscrapers.
