The best celebrity Super Bowl commercials: Drake, Dan Levy, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton and more

The Super Bowl is always one of the biggest highlights on the sports calendar, but many of us also look forward to the hilarious ads that often air during the game.

This year, we didn't have to wait until the big championship match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs to watch some of the spots. Some brands dropped their hilarious and heartwarming commercials before the game, while others aired during the NFL championship match.

Scroll down to see some of the most hilarious commercials that featured sme of y

State Farm featuring Drake and Paul Rudd

Drake made a very surprising cameo in a State Farm ad featuring Aaron Rodgers, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Paul Rudd. Like a good neighbour, the rapper showed up ready to help by busting out the iconic State Farm line before being told as a stand-in, he didn't have any lines. D'oh!

M&M's featuring Dan Levy

M&M's funny ad tries to prove how the candy can make almost any situation better. In the 30-second spot, the much-loved candy is used as a way to apologize for everything from calling someone "a Karen" to making confession – except when Dan Levy makes a not-so-great choice on what to eat.

T-Mobile featuring Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine

Gwen Stefani starred in an ad for T-Mobile that also featured fiancé Blake Shelton and their fellow Voice judge Adam Levine. Fans were a bit confused by the start of the ad, in which Gwen said she wanted to start dating again and was looking for someone who was more "down to earth" and "country" – or at least that's what Adam heard because of the spotty network. So Adam set Gwen and Blake up on a first date – and he showed up in *spurs*! You'll howl:

Rocket Mortgage featuring Tracy Morgan

There is definitely a very big difference between "certain" and "pretty sure," and the former Saturday Night Live funnyman was on hand to helpfully educate a family on that. Appearing in a bathtub, he helpfully illustrated by using examples such as parachutes, poisonous mushrooms, murder hornets and more.

Cadillac featuring Timothee Chalamet and Winona Ryder

Timothee Chalamet had a turn as Edgar, the son of Edward Scissorhands, in an ad for the Cadillac LYRIQ. The hilarious spot also a cameo from Winona Ryder, reprising her role from the movie. In the ad, Edgar struggles to catch a football, attracts every magnet in the room with his blades and accidentally snips the bell on a bus when he tries to ring it – you know, normal, everyday teenager things. But when mom gifts him with a LYRIQ, everything falls into place.

Hellmann's featuring Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer made an appearance as Fairy Godmayo to critique a man making a sandwich in a Hellmann's ad. The poor guy was at a loss as to what to do with his leftovers, but with a flick of her wand, she created a feast! Sadly, she then informed him that was the extent of her talents.

Amazon Alexa featuring Michael B. Jordan

Ever wondered what it would be like if Amazon's Alexa had a different design? The "Alexa's Body" commercial imagines the scenario with Michael B. Jordan. The ad features the star as the embodiment of the AI voice, being asked to complete several hilarious tasks – much to the chagrin of a husband.

Michelob featuring Don Cheadle

The Michelob ULTRA Organic Seltzer ad features what appears to be an "All-Star Cast" given the name of the commercial, but Don Cheadle is the only person who really is who he appears to be. The clip also features a surprise cameo from his brother!

Scotts & Miracle-Gro featuring John and Ella Travolta

John Travolta and his daughter Ella make a TikTok clip while Martha Stewart shows off her gorgeous garden in the Scotts & Miracle-Gro "Keep Growing" ad. The 45-second spot has a number of surprise cameos. And don't worry – no flower beds were harmed in the making.

Squarespace featuring Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton reworked her classic "9 to 5" song to celebrate side hustles with a new track, "5 to 9," for Squarespace. The one-minute commercial is directed by La La Land director Damien Chazelle.

Uber Eats featuring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey bring back their iconic Wayne's World characters, Wayne and Garth, for a commercial for Uber Eats. They're suuuuuper excited, and still coming at us from his parents' basement. It's perfect, because honestly, Wayne and Garth would be *so* into Uber Eats.

Cheetos featuring Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Shaggy

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher join Shaggy for Cheetos's “It Wasn’t Me" commercial. Yes, there's a new version of the classic song. There's a pretty funny cameo from a cat.

Tide featuring Jason Alexander

Seinfeld's Jason Alexander makes an uproarious appearance on a hoodie that really should be cleaned for Tide's Super Bowl slot. George Costanza would have a lot to say about it.

Doritos featuring Mindy Kaling, Jimmy Kimmel and Matthew McConaughey

Mindy Kaling and Jimmy Kimmel team up for a fun Doritos #FlatMatthew commercial featuring a Matthew McConaughey we haven't seen before – a very 2D one. Watch out for that spring breeze, Matt!
