'Queer Eye' cast helps Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty become his best self

Over the last few years, we've all loved watching the Fab Five help people become their best selves on Queer Eye, and they've extended the courtesy to Gritty, the very orange, very fuzzy mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers.

During Season 5, which premiered on June 5 on Netflix, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk and Tan France visited the City of Brotherly Love, where they made their latest bits of magic happen. While there, they received a letter from Gritty's furry colleague, the Phillie Phanatic, nominating his orange cousin for a transformation from the Fab Five. Netflix has just dropped the mini episode of the makeover of the one-year-old, google-eyed, boisterous brand ambassador, who wears the same clothes every day for the whole world to see.

"I don't think Gritty needs to change a ton," the Phanatic wrote in his letter to the Fab Five. "Maybe you guys can convince him that he doesn't need to eat a cheesesteak for *every* meal."

Gritty started by showing Jonathan how he perfects his eyebrows every day. Tan then encourages him to wear something different, and they settle on something purple. It's a bit similar to the orange outfit we know and love seeing Gritty wear, but it's different. It's not working, though, and they go through a Santa Claus outfit and numerous other alternatives before settling on his original outfit because it's perfect.

You'll love the special space Bobby has created for Gritty in the Flyers' dressing room. It truly says "Gritty has arrived." Sadly (or not!), Antoni does not really succeed at getting Gritty to consider any other foods besides cheesesteaks... which he soon discovers he can't resist, either. Karamo brings the Phanatic in for a heartwarming therapy session.

The end result... is Gritty is perfect as he is!
