Jennifer Garner writes special message to Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry

Jennifer Garner has reached out to Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry to thank them for sharing Archie's first birthday video with the world.

On May 6, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a clip of Meghan reading to Archie to celebrate him turning one year old. The video was shared through Save the Children's #SaveWithStories initiative, which was started by Jennifer and Amy Adams. Its goal is to fight children's hunger during the coronavirus pandemic and involves celebrities reading stories to fundraise for the cause.

"Dear Meghan and Harry, Thank you for sharing your gorgeous son with the world and allowing us to join you in celebrating his first birthday," Jennifer wrote on Instagram as she reshared their video. "We are humbled and grateful that you chose @savewithstories to mark this special day and in so doing have raised the visibility of @savethechildren's work in the US and UK and have helped feed and educate children in desperate need of both.

"More than anything watching you lovingly talk through the pictures while your clever Archie turns the pages lifts all of us up and remind us that what may seem like a duck just might turn out to be a rabbit. Thank you for this joyful and meaningful shift in perspective."

Meghan read Duck! Rabbit! to Archie in the clip, and royals fans were very pleased to see the book was likely given to the little boy by Oprah Winfrey! The lifestyle guru said last year that she was planning on giving the little lad a set of books just before he was born.

Prior to May 6, it had been a while since royals fans last saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son. To celebrate the beginning of 2020, the Sussexes posted a video to their old Sussex Royal Instagram on New Year's Eve, which featured the little boy with his beaming dad.

Archie is currently living in Los Angeles, Meghan's hometown, after spending time in a home on Vancouver Island as Harry and Meghan transitioned out of their official royal roles.
