Emma Stone is engaged to long-time boyfriend Dave McCary! And he popped the question with a truly unique and stunning engagement ring featuring a pearl.
The Oscar-winning actress and her Saturday Night Live director partner surprised us all with an Instagram post from Dave on Dec. 4 showing off the ring.
Fans were quick to congratulate the happy couple and to take notice of the special jewel. When the news broke, it was unclear whether Emma’s ring was antique or created in the style of vintage jewellery, and many wondered if the central stone was actually a pearl instead of a diamond.
Sources have confirmed to People that Emma’s engagement ring is the beautiful Kataoka Winter Pearl ring from New York City jewellery store Catbird. The ring sells for US$4,780 and it comes from the Tokyo workshop of master jeweler Yoshinobu Kataoka. The studio uses the highest quality conflict-free noble metals, diamonds and natural untreated precious gems.
The Kataoka Winter Pearl ring features a mesmerizing pearl surrounded by Kataoka’s signature snowflake motif. The diamond cutting, milgrain edges, plus, other hand-applied finishes lend it that antique look.
Additionally, pearl jewellery is popular among celebrities and royals. Duchess Kate’s pearl drop earrings are her go-to accessory. Furthermore, unique engagement stones are becoming more and more trendy, so Emma’s ring is very fashionable.
Emma and Dave have been dating since 2017, but the couple has kept details about their romance very private. So, it was quite a surprise to see them publicly announce their engagement on Dave's Instagram. We’re so pleased for them and congratulate the happy couple.
The two haven’t shared any further details about their engagement or wedding date yet.
