#TBT! Katharine McPhee shares the best throwback photo of Duchess Meghan

Katharine McPhee once shared the stage with a very famous royal, the Duchess of Sussex – and she has the best #TBT snap to prove it! On Jan. 30, the singer shared a vintage photo of herself and Duchess Meghan, posing with flowers when they were just teenagers.

In the snap – that was likely taken after the curtain closed on a play they were in together – the two show off their megawatt smiles for the camera. “Meghan and I did musicals together as kids. She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me. #TBT,” the singer captioned the post.

Though it’s unclear whether the two have stayed in touch, it’s apparent they’ve achieved next-level fame and success. Duchess Meghan, of course, starred on Suits, married Prince Harry and is now expecting her first child in the spring.

Katharine went on to compete on American Idol and lead a very successful solo career. Today, she’s engaged to legendary music producer David Foster, 68, who popped the question during a European vacation with now-fiancé in July 2018. She seemed to allude to the engagement on Twitter on July 3, sharing a gif of Ariana Grande saying: “And what about it?” paired with a diamond ring emoji.

Later that month, the brunette beauty took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about her engagement and her late father, writing: “It’s been a hard week. Lots of tears but I want to thank my friends and family for all the love and support. My dad was so happy for me. My ring was the last thing I showed my dad before he passed and makes me smile when I look at this as a reminder of our last conversation."

She continued: “And now I’m ready to share with all of you what has been my sunshine amongst this painful loss. My love wisely said to me the other day that ‘death is the only thing that is 100 percent inevitable and the thing we are least prepared for.’ So today we’re celebrating life and not forgetting love.”
