Emily Blunt’s SAG Awards speech made John Krasinski cry

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski continued their reign as Hollywood’s cutest couple on Sunday night at the SAG Awards. When the 35-year-old accepted her award for Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role for A Quiet Place, she gave a speech that made everyone cry – including her husband.

The excited star, who worked with John on the film, took to the stage: "I'm going to share this completely with my husband John Krasinski because this entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly."

The visibly emotional star continued: "You are a stunning filmmaker, I'm so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you. Thank you for giving me the part, you would have been in major trouble if you hadn't, so you didn't really have an option, but thank you.”

Clearly elated by her win, the 39-year-old The Office alum stood and applauded for his wife through tears. After the show he posted a photo to of the moment Emily’s win was announced. His caption, which was a nod to the film he directed and co-starred in, was “Very fittingly… no words.”

Emily later told reporters the best part about filming the movie was working with her husband, saying: “My favourite thing about shooting A Quiet Place for sure was working with John,” she said. “We had never done it before and it is kind of the great unknown.”

She continued: “You go into this process not knowing what it’s going to be like. A lot of people were like ‘You’re going to be divorced by the end of it,’ but we were so much closer. I think the discovery of how we collaborated and could create something together was just so special.”

John previously gushed about the experience to Variety: “I had been told -- Rob Marshall, who just directed [Emily Blunt] in Mary Poppins, said, ‘When you work with her, you’ll see,'” he said. “And I said, I know, I’m her biggest fan… and he said, ‘Nope, not until you’re in the room and she does what she does will you know why your wife is such a good actress.’”

The adorableness has even caught the eye of many, including the couple’s A-list friends, with Chris Pratt opening up to the Hollywood Reporter about his pals: "They are a down-to-earth couple, both really fun and funny. They're caring and kind. They're always doing bits and making themselves and other people laugh."
