Canada's Queen of Country Pop is also apparently the queen of thinking on her toes! Shania Twain visited Watch What Happens Live on Thursday (Nov. 15), where host Andy Cohen had to guess whether she or fellow guest Patricia Arquette had "peed her pants in front of an audience multiple times" - and the singer owned up to the mishap. But she also got to showcase her ingenuity when she explained how cleverly she hid it from the crowd.
"Why would you guess me?!" Shania proclaimed during the round of 'That Does Impress Me Much,' garnering giggles from the audience. Then came her confession. "I have peed myself onstage," the mother of one revealed, but she also shared the ingenious way that she covered her tracks. "You know what I did? I was very clever in this one moment. I stood up from my chair to get up and sing. I peed myself. And the puddle, I just knocked my glass of water over..."
And her ensemble was perfectly suited to the task. “I was wearing a skirt, thank goodness,” she added. “I stood up, it all came out, I was dry, put the glass of water on, see. Listen, I think when you’re dyslexic, you think ahead of these things.” In the clip, the country superstar, 53, is clad in a skirt yet again, a perfectly Shania ensemble pairing a gold-embellished plaid shirt with a glittering leopard skirt. Through her thigh-high slit, she showed off a pair of knee-high black boots.
The Timmins, Ont. native has long been known for her unique sense of style, which was on full display earlier this year when she hosted the Canadian Country Music Awards (and took home top honours with the Generation Award!) in four Greta Constantine looks styled by Jessica Mulroney. These included a sequinned pink off-the-shoulder gown, a red taffeta number, blue sequins accessorized with black ribbon and, lastly, a jaw-dropping royal blue crushed-velvet robe.
Needless to say, her sartorial savvy (and love of leopard and sequins!) has garnered her some famous fans, including former One Direction-er Harry Styles. The "Sign of the Times" singer once called Shania one of his biggest fashion inspirations, and she was happy to gush right back during her WWHL segment. "We have met. I love him. He’s such a cutie! He’s an incredible singer. He’s a wonderful talent, and I want to work with him, so…” Call her up, Harry!
