Ryan Reynolds talks being ‘Mr. Lively’ and how his family is everything at ‘Deadpool 2’ premiere

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively keep proving why their marriage is the ultimate #RelationshipGoals! Dressed in Deadpool’s signature black and red, the actress dazzled alongside her husband on Monday night (May 14) on the red carpet at the Deadpool 2 premiere. And Ryan was clearly as smitten as fans, gushing about how great it is to be “Mr. Lively.”

The blond bombshell can count being a thoughtful wife, doting mother of two, hilarious jokester and A-list actress among the many reasons why her 41-year-old husband is head-over-heels in love. “Oh, I’m Mr. Lively 24/7,” Ryan said to ET. “And I’m happy about it. It’s great. [It’s the] best gig.

Joking aside, Ryan is clearly so grateful for his family, and his love for Blake and their two daughters – James, 3, and Ines, 1 – goes way deeper than colour-coordinating outfits. “My family is everything to me, and that’s what brought about Deadpool 2 ,” he told Vanity Fair . While the Gossip Girl alum showed love for her hubby and the film through her outfit choice, Ryan said he wouldn’t hesitate to do the same for her. “If she were Gwenpool, I’d be wearing the Deadpool colours as well,” he stated, referencing a more unknown character for the comic book series.

But that’s not the only outfit change he’s willing to undergo! This past weekend, Ryan stepped into a glittery unicorn costume for an epic appearance on the South Korean singing show called King of Masked Singer. Taking to the stage, the family man belted out the popular song “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie. The best surprise, however, wasn’t his incredible singing voice, but the crowd’s reaction when he took off the mask!

It’s clear that not a detail has gone amiss when it comes to how Ryan is promoting the latest installment of Deadpool. From nabbing Celine Dion for its power-ballad theme song to his hilarious trailer with David Beckham and an appearance on the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars, there’s no telling what could come next… Well, except the actual movie, which hits theatres on May 18.
