Dancing with Drew Scott: Week three’s Argentine Tango

It takes two to tango and solve a crime! Drew Scott cracked the dance code on Monday (Oct 1) with a stunning rendition of the Argentine Tango. The Canadian star and his partner Emma Slater flirted with true crime during guilty pleasure week, and they certainly delivered. After an eventful two weeks of low performance scores and a hamstring injury, the 39-year-old tangoed his way to 23 points out of 30.

The duo’s sultry personas immediately captivated the audience. With ease, Drew and Emma created a crime-filled world, only to be demystified by a show-stopping performance. With every week, Drew’s technique has improved. British Judge Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba commended Drew on his strong lifts, praising his weekly improvements, while Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “You’ve cracked the case!” The judges’ scores? 7, 8, 8 respectively.

Sadly, there was a shadow over the Property Brother’s performance this week. Following their dance, the Las Vegas resident opened up to the crowd about his heartbreak over the recent mass shooting on the Vegas strip. To those affected, Drew said emotionally, “I’ve lived in Vegas for many years and I want to say that all of our hearts here are with the families affected. It’s a sad situation. Our prayers are here for you guys.”

The cast posed for a photo, accompanied by a heartfelt message from Drew for the victims of the shooting, “We hope that dance will move you to inspire goodness in others, that the music will feed your soul, and that we can make you smile at a time that is so dark. Tonight we dance for you.”

Now it's in the hands of America ... and Canada! For the first time in the show's history, viewers north of the border can vote for their favourite dance pair. Drew has even set up a website to make it super easy for fans to vote – TeamHotProperty.com. Tune in Monday (Oct 9) to see if the Property Brother's moves were enough to keep him in the competition!
