Kristen Bell saves ‘Frozen’ co-star’s family from Hurricane Irma

In the right place at the right time, Kristen Bell managed to save her Frozen co-star’s family from Hurricane Irma. After Josh Gad’s parents, brothers, sister-in-law, niece and nephew found themselves stranded on the coast, Kristen was able to get them a room in her Orlando hotel to shelter them from the storm.

Josh, who voices Olaf in the hit Disney movie, posted an emotional message dedicated to his 37-year-old co-star on his Instagram, “So @kristenanniebell literally saved my parents and my entire family tonight from #hurricaneirma . When they were stranded in Florida, she got them a hotel room at her hotel in Orlando and saved them, my brothers, my sister-in-law and niece and nephew. They don't make them like this girl. Thank you Kristin. You are truly an angel sent from above.”

Kristen was filming scenes for her upcoming movie Like Father when the category four storm began barreling through the coastal state. Since the hurricane began, the mother of two has been documenting the experience on her social media, keeping the mood light and instilling hope in her Florida fans.

Many people who have been displaced due to the storm moved into Kristen’s hotel, including an adorable group of senior citizens. The actress even shared a meal with them one evening, joking that she was dining with all her “new friends.”

Even while filming during a natural disaster, Kristen did her part to put a smile on people’s faces. She treated Floridians seeking shelter at a local Orlando school to an impromptu performance of “Let It Go” from her animated movie. She even recruited some back-up dancers.

The star posted an adorable photo of her performing with a young girl and a police officer dancing in the background, with the caption, “When youre #singinginahurricane, your volunteer back up dancers can & will steal the show. Richard and Rebecca everyone! #hurricaneirma
