George Clooney's best pranks ever

If you think that George Clooney is just another pretty face then you're in for a rude awakening. The A-lister may be handsome and devilishly charming, but he's also the king of practical jokes – just ask his friends and co-stars!

Last week the actor travelled to the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas and revealed that his prankster days are far from over, which is bad news for close pal Brad Pitt. "I am working on a prank that will end his career," George shared. "If you take the time, if you're willing to sit on one for a couple of years, and just plant the seed…there's no rush."

The pair have played many practical jokes on one another during the course of their friendship, and despite George's penchant for pranks this trickster one-upmanship actually started with a stunt from Brad.

During the making of Ocean's Twelve the father of six convinced film staff that George would only answer to the name Danny Ocean – his character in the trio of Ocean's movies. "I sent a memo to the entire Italian crew, in Italian, that said, 'Dear Crew: We wish you a wonderful shoot. George Clooney asks that, this is a very difficult role for him. He needs to concentrate deeply," Brad recalls in an interview with James Lipton on Inside the Actors Studio "Mr. Clooney asks that you try not to interrupt him, look him in the eye. If you do need to address Mr. Clooney, please refer to him only as 'Daniel' or 'Mr. Ocean.'"

Clearly Brad can give George a run for his money, but the ER alum and Hollywood favourite has been playing the joker for decades. Now on April Fool's Day, one that can only be described as a practical joker's Christmas, we relive the funniest moments from some of George Clooney's best gags.
