Khloé Kardashian on Lamar Odom's recovery: 'It's literally a miracle'

Khloé Kardashian has revealed that Lamar Odom is seriously on the mend. Last October, the NBA player overdosed on drugs and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, after which Khloé spent a tumultuous few months caring for her estranged husband. Now the reality-TV star says he's "doing really well" and has been released from the hospital following a "miracle" recovery.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, Khloé discussed her ex-husband's condition, explaining, "He's walking and talking. I'm not laughing because it's funny. I'm laughing because it's literally a miracle. This person was in a coma. I was told he had four hours to live. He wasn't talking."

Khloé described Lamar's recovery as a "miracle."

She added, "He literally could not speak or walk up until three weeks ago. All of a sudden he's walking. Doctors are astonished by how quickly he's advancing, but it's because of his athleticism and he's been a great basketball player his whole life. I'm thinking that has a major thing to do with it, but he's doing great."

Khloé concluded by saying that she hopes the overdose helps Lamar to finally overcome his addiction issues.

"He's fighting for his life, and I really pray this is a wake-up call for him, and he changes his life, and wants to do better," she said. "Everyone loves a good comeback story."

Khloé made the revelations on U.S. talk show Watch What Happens Live.

Lamar was taken to hospital in Las Vegas on Oct. 13 after being found unconscious in a legal brothel. Khloé has supported her former husband throughout the ordeal, and called off her divorce from the athlete so he could continue to focus on his recovery.

While the decision caused some fans to speculate that she had reunited with her husband of four years, Khloé has since revealed that she is still dating basketball player James Harden and is going out of her way to make their relationship work while he is on the road during the NBA season.

"I'm a really good multi-tasker and I just know how to balance out," Khloé told Entertainment Tonight. "Even if it's just a 48-hour trip. As long as you get that time in, then it works."
