Jennifer Lawrence on her social media fame: 'I’m not trying to be a GIF'

Jennifer Lawrence does not want to be a GIF.

In a recent interview with Glamour, the Joy star went on to say that she feels like her life has become "over-paid-attention to" simply because she's silly and imperfect.

“I’m not trying to be a GIF. I’m not trying to be a picked-up-on-Twitter quote. All I’m trying to do is act. And I have to promote these movies ... So if you record what I’m saying, it’s gonna be goofy. [Laughs] What do I do? What do I do? I’m just a girl, sitting in front of the world and asking them to forgive her for speaking.”

As part of the spread the 25-year-old actress posed for several raw and sexy photos in body-hugging dresses and ensembles, all while discussing things like her dating life.

“I don’t, like, date a lot. I don’t meet a lot of guys who I want to go on a date with. I’ll find a guy attractive maybe once a year. But I’m not a lonely person. Me not dating someone is not a lack of anything in any way. I feel completely fulfilled. Yes, when I spark with someone, it’s exciting, but I definitely don’t need that.”

She also shared some thoughts on her squad of leading ladies, Emma Stone, Adele and Amy Schumer. While she claims Emma has "never had a bad thought about anybody in her life," she says her relationship with Adele is a bit more real. She's also decided to "grow old and crazy" with Amy.

"I don’t like new people. But [Emma, Adele and Amy], they’re really lovely. And they’re so normal. I feel like I’m hanging out with my friends -- my friends that don’t [care] about what I do."

It's an exciting time for The Hunger Games star. Not only is she busy promoting her new film focused on the life of Miracle Mop creator Joy Mangano, she's also got two other projects on the go: Passenger with Chris Pratt and the latest Marvel movie, X-Men: Apocalypse. We'll also see her walk the red carpet at the 2016 Golden Globes on Jan. 10; she's nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy for her role in Joy.
