Julia Roberts holidays with George and Amal Clooney in Lake Como

It seems that Julia Roberts and George Clooney, who just wrapped production on a film together, weren’t ready to part ways just yet. The Hollywood stars and their spouses banded together to celebrate the Fourth of July at George’s estate on the shores of Lake Como.

Amal Clooney and Danny Moder joined the Oceans Eleven co-stars for a sail around the lake followed by a late-night fireworks show. In addition to celebrating Independence Day, Julia and her husband Danny marked their 13th wedding anniversary on July 2. Their three children, 10-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and younger brother Henry, 8, joined them on the Italian getaway.

Even though George and Julia have been friends for years, he might have some competition for her affections as the Pretty Woman actress revealed that she is “quite enamoured” with his wife of 10 months.

Although Julia was not in attendance at the Clooneys' Venice nuptials last September, she was quick to congratulate her friend, telling Access Hollywood, “We’ve spoken many times since he’s gone from bridegroom to a husband. My only advice [on marriage] is finding your person – and he’s found his person.”

The couples recently spent time together in New York City, where George and Julia were busy filming the dramatic thrillerMoney Monster. Julia has since called the experience “amazing” and has the highest of praises for the film’s director, Jodie Foster. “George and I were pinching each other just thinking 'How did we end up with this brainiac girl?' It was awesome," she told Extra.

If recent reports ring true, the jaunt to George's European estate may have been a farewell visit for the Oscar-winning actress. Her longtime friend is reportedly looking to sell his 18th-century Villa Oleandra now that he has bought a more private residence in Amal’s native England.
