Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher welcome baby boy

Carrie Underwood has received the greatest early birthday present she could possibly ask for – a baby boy. The country music singer and her NHL-player husband, Mike Fisher, welcomed their first child on Feb. 27, just 11 days shy of Carrie’s 32nd birthday.

The singer took to Twitter on March 3 to announce the happy news, sharing the first photo of little Isaiah Michael Fisher with fans.

“Tiny hands and tiny feet… God has blessed us with an amazing gift!” she wrote alongside the cute snap, which her husband promptly retweeted.

Sitting down with the cast of The View in October, Carrie spoke candidly about motherhood, noting how she’s nervous about “being responsible for a tiny human.”

“It’s still kind of weird, to be honest,” she added during an appearance on the Today Show. “Sometimes I’ll be with my husband and I’m like, ‘I’m going to be a mom. You’re going to be a dad. Like, is this real life?’ But we’re really excited.”

Meanwhile, her hockey-playing hubby also opened up about becoming a first-time father, telling The Tenessean in February that being a dad is “going to be awesome.”

“I’ve always tried to balance things out in life,” said Mike, who hails from Peterborough, Ontario. “I think that’s important, and obviously kids are going to add a different dynamic that I can’t wait for.”

Carrie and her Canadian beau, who plays for the Nashville Predators, first met backstage at one of the country star's shows in Toronto in October 2008. The couple later confirmed their engagement in December 2009 and were married on July 10, 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Georgia.
