Dressed head to toe in pure white perfection, the American Idol singer peeked out from behind a stunning veil, showing off the fitted slip-style wedding gown, which boasts an open back. She captioned the stunning snap: “Wedding dress fittings today with @jordiefos! It was such a happy day. (It’s not the dress, but just wanted to share)”.

Though she may not have said yes to this particular dress, it’s certainly implied that her perfect wedding day look has been sorted already! Regardless of which gown she chooses, the 34-year-old Waitress star is likely to make jaws drop while walking down the aisle to her Canadian love.

Their engagement was something of a fairy tale. David, 68, popped the question during a European vacation with Katharine in July 2018, her representative confirmed. She seemed to allude to the engagement on Twitter on July 3, sharing a gif of Ariana Grande saying: “And what about it?” paired with a diamond ring emoji.

Later that month, the brunette beauty took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about her engagement and her late father, writing: “It’s been a hard week. Lots of tears but I want to thank my friends and family for all the love and support. My dad was so happy for me. My ring was the last thing I showed my dad before he passed and makes me smile when I look at this as a reminder of our last conversation.

She continued: “And now I’m ready to share with all of you what has been my sunshine amongst this painful loss. My love wisely said to me the other day that ‘death is the only thing that is 100 percent inevitable and the thing we are least prepared for.’ So today we’re celebrating life and not forgetting love.”

The couple enjoyed a sunny Hawaiian vacation with both sides of their family over Christmas, where they holed up at the Four Seasons resort in Lanai. They had a blast cruising around in a vintage blue truck, swimming and snorkeling, and Katharine even performed at the hotel’s new year’s festivities.
