Prince Philip celebrates his 99th birthday on June 10. As many members of the Royal Family take to social media to give the Duke of Edinburgh their well wishes, he also reportedly has a special call to look forward to from Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan and their son Archie!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going to call Harry's grandfather from their home in Los Angeles, according to HELLO! UK. Prince Philip and the Queen are currently isolating at Windsor Castle due to the COVID-19 lockdown and they are expected to remain there for the foreseeable future. So, a video call will be a lovely way for Philip and Her Majesty to connect with the young Sussex family and see how one-year-old Archie is growing and how everyone is doing during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Royal Family has been staying in touch using the latest technology while self-isolating separately during the coronavirus. Like many of us, they have been using video calls to stay connected.
In April, Harry and Meghan reportedly made a video call to the Queen to mark her 94th birthday on April 21. Archie had his milestone first birthday shortly after on May 6. Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their second wedding anniversary on May 19.
In honour of Prince Philip's 99th birthday, Buckingham Palace released a new portrait of the duke and his wife.
The elegant portrait of the couple was taken in the quadrangle of Windsor Castle on June 1.
