Duchess Meghan's pilates trainer visits her in British Columbia

Duchess Meghan drove herself to Victoria International Airport on Jan. 16, but not to catch a flight – she was heading there to pick up a friend!

The Duchess of Sussex was seen driving a green Land Rover as she arrived at the airport to greet Heather Dorak, with whom she's had a close friendship since she lived in Los Angeles. The two hugged, and then reportedly headed back to the North Saanich, B.C. home where Meghan is said to be staying.

Heather is the latest of Meghan's friends to visit her in British Columbia. The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry spent time near Victoria with Archie over the holidays, reportedly staying in a home near North Saanich. They were spotted hiking at Horth Hill Regional Park, a popular destination for tourists and lovers of the outdoors.

While on their royal break, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also caught up with many friends, including Meghan's Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, who was seen with them on a hike, and actress Janina Gavankar, known for her work on True Blood and The L Word.

Heather and Meghan's friendship goes back years, and she and her husband Matt Cohen were among those who attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in 2018. Heather runs Pilates Platinum, which specializes in the "Megaformer" workout, a set of 55 minutes of pilates exercises that's never the same twice, according to its website. Meghan often shared photos of her and Heather working out together on her pre-royal life Instagram.

Last week, Meghan returned to Canada after she and Harry announced they would step down from their senior royal roles and work toward becoming "financially independent." She has since made two private visits to Vancouver's Downtown Eastside Women's Centre and Justice for Girls, having conversations with staff about local issues.
