25 Green beauty buys for Earth Day

There's one beauty secret that many A-listers share: they regularly use eco-friendly, organic or non-toxic products. So in honour of Earth Day (April 22), we think it's an ideal time to look to them for some all-natural makeup and skincare advice.

Let's start with Jessica Alba. The Sin City star was compelled to green her lifestyle routine after having children.

"We’re still using the same products as our parents used," Jessica once told Hello!, "and I felt like that didn’t speak to me as a modern, young parent."

Today she achieves her radiant glow by using items from Suki, Dr. Hauschka and her own line, The Honest Company.

Her top two tips are to invest in products that are eco-certified and to learn more about the chemicals in your makeup. Skin Deep is a resource that lists the safety of thousands of things you'd find on your drugstore's shelf.

Her big beauty tip? "Before you start to think about applying makeup, it's important to take good care of your skin by cleaning and moisturizing."

That means reaching for some of her favourite items from Juice Beauty, Dr. Bronner's, Sprout Wellness and Butter London.
