Following a starry engagement at The National Theatre as its patron on Wednesday (Jan. 30), the Duchess of Sussex has done it yet again, looking stylish as ever to support a cause very close to her heart. The academic-minded royal was the picture of elegance in an all-black ensemble for a meeting with the Association of Commonwealth Universities on Jan. 31.
The pregnant duchess arrived to cheers from her adoring fans! She looked no further than her wedding gown designer Givenchy, recycling her dark coat by the fashion house which she wore for her first Remembrance Sunday service as a royal. She appeared to be wearing a floaty black dress underneath the piece, anchoring the look with a pair of beige suede heels and styling her dark hair up in a top knot. As for makeup, the 37-year-old let her natural beauty shine through with minimal products – a nude lip and a simple smoky eye. She appeared to be wearing her 'Midi Knockout' earrings by Canadian jewellery designer Dean Davidson.
Meghan first surprised students at Kings College London with a secret meeting in early December 2018. The pregnant duchess looked no further than one of her go-to Canadian brands for the look, wearing a Long Cocoon Coat by Aritzia's high-end label Wilfred. The 37-year-old appeared to own it in the colour Petale – a beautiful soft pink perfectly paired with a simple black crew-neck ensemble underneath and soft, bouncy waves.
The education-focused meeting follows her first outing as patron to The National Theatre. As a former actress herself (she played Rachel Zane in the hit paralegal show Suits), it's no surprise that she'd want to put her efforts into supporting the arts. She dazzled in head-to-toe cream, pairing a V-neck Brandon Maxwell dress with a blazer of the same hue by the American designer, accessorizing with a small Carolina Herrera 'Insignia' clutch and a simple silver ring on her her pointer finger, and wearing her brunette locks in a chic bun.
Of particular note was the anchor of her outfit – her Aquazzura cross-cross suede pumps, which she wore for her official engagement announcement on Nov. 27, 2017. It was a wonderfully romantic nod to her husband, Prince Harry, who she'll be spending the day in Bristol with on Feb. 1.
