Host your own Friendsgiving this year because an official 'Friends' cookbook is coming!

Did you always hope you would get an invitation to Monica Geller's Friendsgiving feast? And did you wish that Joey Tribbiani would have offered you a bite of his sandwich? Well, now we can have the next-best things because an official Friends cookbook is coming!

Fans of the beloved sitcom already learned you should never, ever take food from Joey (because Joey doesn't share food!), and now they will learn how to recreate iconic dishes from the show. Friends: The Official Cookbook is being released on Sept. 22, which also marks the 26th anniversary of the show's premiere.

Friends: The Official Cookbook became available to pre-order on Amazon on May 20 for approximately $39, and it is, unsurprisingly, already a bestseller. The cookbook, which is penned by expatriate chef Amanda Yee, will feature over 50 recipes fans will definitely recognize.

Don't worry if your cooking isn't up to professional chef Monica's standards because there is something for all skill levels and appetites.

The forthcoming cookbook is another exciting thing for Friends fans to look forward to. It was officially announced in February that a Friends reunion was happening. HBO Max confirmed stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer would come together to celebrate the series in what was thought to be an unscripted special.

The project has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was originally intended to stream in May, but with COVID-19 social distancing measures put in place and filming suspended, the special has been postponed. The intention was for the HBO event to be filmed at Stage 24 on the Warner Bros. Studio lot, where the beloved TV show was shot.

Earlier this month, Variety reported WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt is hoping the show will be able to be filmed at the end of summer. A fall release is being eyed.

“We’re holding out for being able to get this special done hopefully by the end of the summer, if the stars align and hopefully we can get back into production," he told the publication.

"We do think there’s a value to having a big, raucous live audience to experience these six great friends coming back together."

That leaves us time to watch the original series and imagine just how much beef and custard will go into Rachel Green's infamous Thanksgiving trifle!
