Fans were hoping for a Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reunion at the 2020 Golden Globes on Jan. 5, and while we might not have gotten a big red carpet photo opportunity, we were treated to a few laughs from Jen during Brad's acceptance speech!
Brad won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, and when he took to the stage to accept it, the actor made reference to his dating life and the rumour mill.
“I wanted to bring my mom, but I couldn’t, because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating," he quipped. "And that would just be awkward."
There were lots of laughs from the audience at the line, and the camera quickly panned to Jennifer, who was laughing along with them.
Brad garnered plenty more laughs when he snuck in a Titanic joke, in reference to Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.
"I would've shared the raft," he joked, which was famously in reference to the scene in Titanic when Leo's character Jack dies, and Kate Winslet's character, Rose, survives because she isn't in the frigid water.
Jennifer and Brad were often dubbed the "golden couple" of Hollywood after they started dating in 1998. The pair married in 2000, but unfortunately separated in 2005.
There have been reports that the exes have been on friendly terms for the last few years. In December, Jennifer was said to have invited Brad to her holiday party. The pair also reported reunited privately for Jen’s big star-studded 50th birthday party last February.
