Jen received her first Golden Globe nomination since she starred on Friends, picking up a nod for her role in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show. She’s up for Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama, and has stiff competition from Olivia Colman (The Crown), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon (both nominated for Big Little Lies).
Brad, meanwhile, is nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his work in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. That film received six nods, including two for director Quentin Tarantino for his screenplay and his work helming the picture.
Of course, who could forget Jen and Brad started dating in 1998, married in 2000 and sadly divorced five years later.
The former lovebirds have reunited before, but in private. They've been on good terms for about three years. Brad reached out to Jen to support her when her mother died in 2016.
“She was touched that he knew what a difficult time it was,” a source told Us Weekly.
In February, the two saw each other at Jennifer’s 50 th birthday party.
“Someone extended the invitation to Brad to come to Jen’s party and he accepted,” a source told E! News after the event. “He wanted to support Jen and it was a momentous occasion. But that’s the extent of it. It was a social evening with a lot of people who have been part of her life. They definitely aren’t dating or on that path. They are friendly, but that’s it.”
The source also added that the two text each other and are supportive of each other’s milestones, so hopefully we’ll get to see them hug each other at the Golden Globes!
