Jonathan Scott, Laura Vandervoort, Patrick J. Adams and more stars have shared their love and support for Toronto following a tragic mass shooting that took place in the city's 'Greektown' neighbourhood on Sunday night (July 22). A 29-year-old opened fire on a number of restaurants along Danforth Ave just after 10 pm, killing 18-year-old Reese Fallon and a 10-year-old girl, and injuring 12 more.
Shortly after gunman Faisal Hussain terrorized the city, Arcade Fire finished up a set at the Budweiser Stage by the waterfront and learned what had happened. "We just got off stage tonight in Toronto and heard the news about the shooting on Danforth," they tweeted. "Sending all our love to those affected." HGTV star Jonathan Scott said, "Toronto I’m standing with you today" alongside broken heart and tearful face emojis.
Former Suits star Patrick J. Adams also took to Twitter to share his feelings: "Another night of senseless loss and brutality in my home town. Praying that some of these reported injuries from the shooting don’t turn into fatalities. Thank you to all the officers and doctors working hard tonight to deal with the aftermath. #danforth"
A host of stars, politicians and athletes poured out their feelings on social media with the hashtags #danforth and #torontostrong. See them all below.

A few years ago I chose to move to the east end of Toronto, first to East York and then the beach. Every day I've been reminded why I made that choice. I truly love it here. What happened on the Danforth last night was ugly, opportunistic barbarism.

Tonight, a despicable act has been perpetrated on the Danforth in our city. On behalf of all Toronto residents, I am outraged that someone has unleashed such a terrible attack on our city and people innocently enjoying a Sunday evening.
